Taking into account the needs described by the customer and the characteristics of the existing structure, I enlarged the windows to the maximum allowed as indicated and I designed an open space to let the light penetrate as much as possible without opaque obstacles. At the entrance there is the welcome area (lounge, cinema, relaxation) with a comfortable sofa which, as noted on the plan, can be larger than one indicated in order to accommodate a greater number of people if necessary. In front of the sofa there is a brise-soleil wall to which a TV cabinet and a shelf are anchored. The brise-soleil made with wooden slats has the function of clearly separating the functions and at the same time allows the light to filter, ensuring natural lighting of the passage area between the kitchen and the bathroom/laundry room. Next to the TV area there is the staircase that I thought of in steel covered in wood, the parapet is in clear transparent glass to minimize visual obstacles and ensure a wider and more welcoming environment.
Proceeding beyond the entrance welcome/relaxation area we find the dining/dinner area with a large table that has a capacity of 10 seats: the table can be transformed into a billiard table. A comfortable sideboard of 280x45xH67 cm is inserted on the non-windowed back wall.
The kitchen area opens onto the dining area, which is distinct thanks to the 30 cm lowering of the ceiling made of plasterboard. I also provided for the possibility of mounting a system of transparent (or semi-transparent, choice) movable walls that allows, if necessary, to isolate the smells (and the view in the case of semi-transparent walls) from the rest of the house: for this reason I also provided of the glass walls to be mounted at the rear of the brise-soleil walls in order to equally guarantee light and separation of the rooms. The large kitchen has a large island with an integrated breakfast surface, a totally free top with a total surface (between the top towards the wall and the top of the island) useful for accommodating various tools and food processors. In this environment there is also a comfortable and welcoming area with a low wooden table as requested by the customer to prepare in Thai style: I enriched this space with a precious wallpaper in warm tones and dedicated lighting.
In the composition of the kitchen, on the right side I have foreseen a door which in fact is an access door to the pantry placed behind the kitchen in the cooler area of the house to ensure better food conservation.
Behind the kitchen there is a comfortable bathroom with shower, equipped with an anteroom (mandatory according to current legislation) which also acts as a laundry room and closet.
Going down the stairs I made niches to visually lighten the passage in order to make it more airy. At the bottom of the stairs I made a closet closed with doors. In the hallway of the staircase there are three doors: a sliding door (it can also be hinged to save money) that leads to the only bathroom in the house without a window, but with forced artificial ventilation, equipped with a comfortable shower. One door leads to the gym environment with bench and treadmill, the other door to the landing of the staircase leads to the bedroom: entering on the left there is a full-height wardrobe with transparent sliding doors, while on the right there are custom-made and tone-on-tone doors that allow you to use the space under the staircase as a closet. Under the flight of stairs, covered with the same wood as the floor, there is the area where to arrange the bed: the space can accommodate a bed with a width from 90 cm up to 140 cm. The bedroom is furnished with desk, bookcase and armchair.
From the gym environment, you can access, through a semi-transparent sliding door (to let the light pass through), to the large walk-in closet that precedes the double bedroom: the wall between the walk-in closet and the bedroom is glazed (transparent or semi-transparent of your choice) to ensure the crossing of the light. The walls that enclose the walk-in closet are equipped with upper ceiling windows in order to let the light coming from the room filter even in the gym.
Between the two bedrooms there is the main bathroom with a comfortable and scenic hydro-massage bathtub and suspended sanitary ware: natural lighting and ventilation are guaranteed by two symmetrical full-height windows that follow the scan of the respective bedroom windows, the window is in fact unique and shared thanks to a specific upright anchored to the bathroom partition walls. This bathroom is accessible from both bedrooms and is preceded by an anteroom both to respect privacy and for hygienic reasons.

Tenendo conto delle esigenze descritte dal cliente e delle caratteristiche della struttura esistente, ho allargato le finestre al massimo consentito come da indicazioni e ho progettato un open space per lasciare penetrare la luce il più possibile senza ostacoli opachi. All'ingresso è ricavata la zona di accoglienza (salotto, cinema, relax) con un comodo divano che, come annotato sulla planimetria, può essere più ampio di quello indicato in modo da accogliere un maggior numero di persone se necessario. Di fronte al divano si trova una parete brise-soleil alla quale è ancorato un mobile TV e una mensola. Il brise-soleil realizzato con listelli di legno, ha la funzione di separare chiaramente le funzioni e allo stesso tempo lascia filtrare la luce garantendo l'illuminazione naturale della zona di passaggio tra l'ambiente cucina e l'antibagno/lavanderia. A fianco della zona TV si trova la scala che ho pensato in acciaio rivestita in legno, il parapetto è in vetro trasparente chiaro per ridurre al minimo ostacoli visivi e garantire un ambiente più ampio e accogliente.
Procedendo oltre la zona accoglienza/relax d'ingresso troviamo la zona pranzo/cena con un ampio tavolo che ha una capienza di 10 posti a sedere: il tavolo è trasformabile in un tavolo da biliardo. Sulla parete di fondo non finestrata è inserita una comoda madia di 280x45xH67 cm.
Sulla zona pranzo si apre l'ambiente cucina, ben distinto grazie al ribassamento del soffitto di 30 cm realizzato con cartongesso. Ho previsto anche la possibilità di montare un sistema di pareti mobili trasparenti (oppure semitrasparenti a scelta) che permette all'occorrenza di isolare gli odori (e la vista nel caso di pareti semitrasparenti) della cucina dal resto della casa: per questo ho previsto anche delle pareti vetrate da montare alla parte retrostante delle pareti brise-soleil in modo da garantire ugualmente luce e separazione degli ambienti. L'ampia cucina ha una grande isola con piano colazione integrato, un top totalmente libero con una superficie totale (tra top verso parete e top dell'isola) utile ad accogliere diversi strumenti e robot da cucina. In questo ambiente è anche ricavata una comoda e accogliente area con tavolino basso in legno come richiesto dal cliente per preparare in stile thai: ho arricchito questo spazio con una preziosa carta da parati dai toni caldi e una illuminazione dedicata.
Nella composizione della cucina, sulla parte destra ho previsto un'anta che di fatto è una porta di accesso alla dispensa sistemata dietro la cucina nella zona più fresca della casa per garantire una migliore conservazione degli alimenti.
Dietro la cucina è ricavato un comodo bagno con doccia, dotato di antibagno (obbligatorio secondo normativa vigente) che funge anche da locale lavanderia e ripostiglio.
Scendendo le scale ho ricavato delle nicchie per alleggerire visivamente il passaggio in modo da renderlo più arioso. In fondo alle scale ho ricavato un ripostiglio chiuso con ante. Nel disimpegno di sbarco della scala si affacciano tre porte: una scorrevole (può anche essere a battente per risparmiare) che introduce all'unico bagno della casa senza finestra, ma con ventilazione artificiale forzata, dotato di comoda doccia. Una porta introduce all'ambiente palestra con panca e tapis roulant, l'altra porta allo sbarco della scala introduce alla cameretta: entrando sulla sinistra è ricavato un armadio a tutta altezza con ante scorrevoli trasparenti, mentre sulla destra si trovano della ante sagomate tono su tono che permettono di sfruttare il sottoscala come ripostiglio. Sotto la rampa della scala, rivestita con lo stesso legno del pavimento, si trova la zona dove sistemare il letto: lo spazio può accogliere un letto con una larghezza da 90 cm fino a 140 cm. La cameretta è arredata con scrivania, libreria e poltrona.
Dall'ambiente palestra si accede, tramite porta scorrevole semitrasparente (per lasciare passare la luce), all'ampia cabina armadio che precede la camera da letto matrimoniale: la parete tra la cabina armadio e la camera è vetrata (trasparente o semitrasparente a scelta) per garantire l'attraversamento della luce. Le pareti che racchiudono la cabina armadio sono dotate di sopraluce sulla parte alta in modo da lasciar filtrare la luce proveniente dalla camera anche nell'ambiente palestra.
Tra le due camere si trova il bagno principale con una comoda e scenografica vasca idromassaggio e sanitari sospesi: l'illuminazione e la ventilazione naturale sono garantiti da due simmetriche finestre a tutta altezza che seguono la scansione del serramento delle rispettive camere da letto, l'infisso infatti è unico e condiviso grazie a uno specifico montante ancorato alle pareti divisorie del bagno. Questo bagno è accessibile da entrambe le camere ed è preceduto da un antibagno sia per rispettare la privacy che per motivi igienici.
