Considering your request for a stylish and practical redesign of your living & kitchen area and respecting your preferences and needs, I would like to propose the following solutions:
Proposal 1
A plasterboard wall creates an elegant division between the kitchen and the living area. From one side I place the tv unit and on the other side additional kitchen cabinets. The elements are unified with a convenient penisola with chairs (you can use the two chairs of the dining table if you prefer).
The position of the kitchen has remained on the same place in order to avoid malfunctions with the scarico acque.
The kitchen furniture has cabinets for plates, glasses and the necessary cabinets for all the appliances. On the right wall is placed a colonna angolare con cestelli estraibili which provides plenty space for food storage. The height of the suspended cabinets are up to the celling as to provide extra storage room.
The wall unit is a modern conception which is proposed considering your preference of containing solutions.
Behind the sofa I created a small decorative niche of cartongesso, and the wall is covered with a decorative material (if you wish). I place your sofa which perfectly fits in the space.
The proposed colors are neutral and pastel to create a smooth and pleasant environment.
Proposal 2
This solution is similar with the previews one. The sofa used is a corner sofa and the dining table is situated near the window.
Proposal 3
On this proposal the division between the living room and dining-kitchen area is achieved with a tv cabinet with a rotating tv panel 180 degrees that allows to watch tv from all sides of the room.
Lighting
The placement of the lighting has been studied according to the needs of light and the usage of the areas. A false celling is placed along the celling for enabling the placement of the different light fixtures. The lighting of the kitchen area is achieved through linear light on the ceiling and under the suspended cabinets. The bancone is illuminated through two pendant lamps. On the entry area are placed a lineal light and a wall lamp. The dining table on the first and third proposal is illuminated with celling fixture light and on the second proposal with pendant lamps. The living area is illuminated with ceiling lamp and ceiling fixture lights. A wash light is placed along the wall behind the sofa and on the entrance for an extra option of illumination. The ceiling fixture lights of the living room and the wash lights are controlled by a light dimmer for creating a relaxation atmosphere. I use different lighting fixtures along the areas as to give the option to choose which to use according to the activity during the day.
Also I attached the wiring plan for the lighting to be used by the electrician.
