We have provided a design that maximises the living area space into which a small "u" shaped open kitchen is integrated. Two options have been included for the plans where the only difference is the furniture layout. We have kept the kitchen and bathroom on the side of the windows, this is where the current drainage connections should be and it should be easy to build the new design. We have decided not to put a door connecting the bathroom with the bedroom as this is an apartment for 1 person only, this saves space and makes the bathroom more comfortable. We are also proposing to store the bicycle in the closet adjacent to the entrance using a hook to hang the bicycle vertically, as shown on the drawings. We have been careful to keep the design simple and use the minimum amount of new internal walls required to make the space work in order to reduce cost of the construction.
