Dear clients, working on your project was challenging and interesting for me. I would like to present a project version in which I tried to meet all of your requirements.
The main concepts of the project are:
- to combine the two main functions of the space – living and public;
- to provide easy and unobstructed access to all rooms;
- to isolate the kitchen, the cooking , the breakfast space and the service spaces (laundry, mud room – intended to be a kind of entrance from the garage), the staircase to the basement) from the formal space areas;
- to preserve as much from the existing structure of the house in order to avoid false ceiling intervention and rough construction work;
- to provide (and not change) a welcoming and big entrance adequate to the actual house dimensions the way it was firstly planned;
- to preserve as many of the sanitary spaces on their original places in order to avoid additional plumbing and rough construction work;
- to keep the central part of the house for the functions you highlighted as most important – to provide friendly and interconnected spaces for family and friends as well as to ensure easy and least time consuming remodeling for formal events;
- to avoid façade intervention and keep all the existing windows and door opening to the outside on their original places
