beach house patio

We have just renovated a beach house but we still have to decide what to do with the patio in front of the house. Not sure we want a pool since the beach is at walking. distance but we would like to have a bigger patio (we now have a small veranda with a roof (very hot in summer) but we would like to increase the living space outside. From the veranda to the "garden" there is a big step which I think should be level up. We were thinking about some decking but we are open to different solution. We want also to have a kitchen outside and a relaxing area with grass (I think fake (but good) grass because we have limited water resources) or something else. The field is a bit downhill. Finally there is an area, much lower (6 steps) which is now not used but we would like it to make it the shower and storage place. The big caveat to keep in mind is that the house is not reachable by any transport/car. The closest we get is around 60 meters and then it is necessary to walk. This should be kept in mind. I have already a proposal by one architect that I'm not convinced and I would like to have new proposal. A place for the pool can be planned but I would think more of a removable above ground swimming pool
