Design Strategy (What changes and why)
Create a central opening between the two units (ideally where the two offices currently mirror each other). This becomes your main internal connection.
Keep plumbing areas aligned → reuse one of the existing WC cores to avoid expensive rerouting.
Use the front-facing side (with windows) for reception and main offices (better light).
Push support functions (bathroom, storage) toward the center.
Renovation Work Needed
Structural opening
Verify if wall is load-bearing → may require beam (steel or reinforced concrete)
Demolition
Remove part of dividing wall
Possibly remove one WC to enlarge the other
New partitions
Light drywall for management office if you want enclosure
Electrical & data
Centralize network points in operations office
Reception desk wiring
Finishes
Unify flooring across both units (important for visual continuity)
Design Tips (from experience)
Make the reception slightly “buffered” from workspaces (even a half-height partition helps).
Use glass walls for management office → keeps it private but not isolated.
Keep operations office flexible (modular desks).
Add acoustic panels if multiple people will work there.
