Thank you for the opportunity to work on this exciting project. I have to say that I really enjoyed it.
I was considering both of your options and I decided on the first one for the following reasons:
1. Because of the noise from the street, I decided to place the kitchen on the north side instead of having both bedrooms on the north as you suggested in option two.
2. the first layout is more logical and practical with a better organization of the space, where unhindered movement and fluidity of the apartment are achieved. The fluid connection between all rooms in the apartment.
3. Zones are well separated and there is no overlapping between day and night, the open space for living and dining/kitchen area is well defined.
From the entrance door, you are welcomed into the open space of the apartment. The kitchen is tucked away on the right and in front of it there is a kitchen island for cooking and three space for sitting where you can eat an easy and fast breakfast. Right from the entrance is the dining/living area with a comfy corner sofa near the fireplace and the huge enlarged sliding door with a stunning view. In the dining area, there is a table and six chairs but you could also put the bench on one side to save some extra space. (see the example on the 3D render).
Following the enlarged sliding door there is a small foyer from where you can access the second bedroom and the bathroom as well.
The bathroom has two entrances from different sides so that it can be easily accessed from both bedrooms.
On the entrance hall, on the left side, I planned a storage unit for shoes and other kinds of stuff, also there is a mirror above.
In both bedrooms are built-in closets that are in the part of the room where the height is the greatest in order to make the best possible use of the space.
The selection of furniture and lighting with clear forms and lines benefits the tranquility of the apartment and comfort as well.
