We create a Project taking advantage of the actual position of the spaces. We conserve both access. Near the main access we open the wall to install some shelves and a credenza to have more storage. The living room is totally connected with the dining room (we conserve the furniture you already have) but we add a new TV cabinet which is combined with more cabinets where you can hide the Blu-Ray, XBOX, PS4, etc. In the dining room we propose to change the closet that exists for a credenza which allows more entry of natural light to the hall. In the kitchen we relocate the refrigerator to create a more easy way to use the whole space. In the kitchen we propose furniture in glossy neutral colors (white, beige, wood textures) that combine perfectly with wood appearance of the rest of the furniture. We propose marble’s inn to give more elegance and classy to this space. Part of the inn can be used as an auxiliar table, it’s not too big, but in this way you can have the kids eating or helping in the kitchen or your company (while you’re cooking). At the bottom of the kitchen we locate the laundry room, in this way you can have natural ventilation and natural light.

You ask to create a clear separation of social and private zone, so we propose a sliding door that separates them. The door of the girl’s bedroom (near to the kitchen) is white, so it disimulates in the wall. The girl’s bedroom is between the kitchen and the boy’s bedroom because this room has an existing bathroom and a connection to a balcony. The bathroom is a little bigger in the shower, so now is more comfortable. Inside the kids’ bedrooms we locate the bed, the nightstands, a desk and the closet (the boy’s closet is the one that you have). We think that is really necessary to have an other bathroom because is not comfortable that everyone (the boy and the guests) go inside the girl’s bedroom to use a bathroom, so we propose a third bathroom where was one of the closets. It’s not a huge bathroom but it has all services and it’s open to the hall. This bathroom also serves to give more privacy to the main bedroom because it is isolated of the rest of the spaces. The access of the main bedroom was relocated, so now the bathroom is inside the bedroom (in the original location) and is connected with the walking closet). In the main bathroom we also have a tub with the shower. In the rest of the bedroom we propose more storage spaces in front of the bed (around the new TV cabinet).

The general idea of the spaces was to integrate them but at the same time to have the possibility to separate them (visually or phisically). So with this scheme you can share a lot of quality time as a family, but respecting the private spaces that all of you need as an individuals.
