The project starts from the customer's request to redesign the space of the living area, poorly distributed between the living room kitchen and a dead area used as a storage area for the games. They were also asked to insert a second bathroom and convert the current studio into a third bedroom.
Therefore, we tried to minimize demolitions, which were still necessary to make the third bedroom habitable and to insert the second bathroom and the laundry room instead of the closet.
The open space is divided between entrance, study, living room and the new kitchen, making the central load-bearing wall the only partition. The view can range across the open space, furnished in an industrial style. Characteristic is the wall left with exposed bricks and the combination of wood and anthracite-colored steel. In line with the central wall is a brick-lined bioethanol fireplace that stands out on the cement-colored wall.
Il progetto parte dalla richiesta del cliente di ridisegnare lo spazio della zona giorno, mal distribuito tra cucina soggiorno e un’area morta utilizzata come deposito per i giochi. Inoltre si chiedeva di inserire un secondo bagno e convertire l’attuale studio in una terza camera da letto.
Si è cercato quindi di ridurre al minimo le demolizioni, rese comunque necessarie per rendere abitabile la terza camera e inserire il secondo bagno e la lavaneria al posto del ripostiglio.
L’open space è suddiviso tra ingresso, studio, soggiorno e la nuova cucina, fa da unico divisorio il muro centrale portante. La vista può spaziare in tutto l’open space, arredato secondo un stile industriale. Caratteristico il muro lasciato con i mattoni a vista e l’accostamento del legno e dell’acciaio color antracite. In asse con il muro centrale un camino al bioetanolo rivestito in mattoni che spicca sul muro lasciato color cemento.
