In addressing the design posed by the competition we have undertaken a series of tests with different layout arrangements and if covid restrictions are to be considered, we have found that between 22 and 20 workstations can be fitted in the space depending on whether separating screens are used or not.

When considering 20 workstations only (no screens) there are few different layout that are feasible. For this reasons we are submitting a number of options for your consideration along with their pros and cons.

A layout for 22 workstations (with screens) is less flexible so we have only included one option.

When reviewing the different options it is important to consider the "rules" pertaining the desk and circulations arrangements. We have included an additional drawing titled "design criteria". The rationale supporting the different proposals is explained here. In other words, this criteria, if applied is the reason why we don't believe that more workstations can be fitted optimally for this particular size of desk.

For the sake of completeness we have also included one option which doesn't consider the covid restrictions.
