Descrizione Progetto

Considering the theme of the show in 2014 SC Decor - " A state all styles " and the tender " The bathroom over time " , we decided to develop a project where we could mix these two issues .
From this , we used as inspiration " Pandora's box " to do the design of public toilets .
As in Greek history had the curiosity to open Pandora's box in our bathroom the audience feel right
curious to find out what 's behind the doors , curtains and discover surprises around every corner .
The idea is to awaken different sensations every step that goes public . So we decided to make a bold project .
We decided to meet different periods of history and bring only one place . The ladies room meet the neoclassical periods , pop , gothic and romantic , and the men's bathroom medieval , deconstructionism and Bauhaus periods . Periods shall be distributed so that each cabin is decorated with a .

Bathrooms Female

• Every part of the women's bathroom sink was designed inspired by the neoclassical period. We use the white travertine marble countertop with porcelain and metal Deca . The beveled mirror with sconces further strengthens some period features. We took a mirror into space (supported ) , the colors gold and white , the ceiling plaster work , remembering all the sophistication of the time . One of the strongest features is the symmetry of the season , which was also decided to take the project .

• In Wheel Chair , we chose to use the period of the Pop Art decor. The characteristic colors of the season will be highlighted in the cabin . In this space , we decided to put some pictures referring to season and dare to choose the photographer . We intend to commission drawings of a still unknown artist Catarina by society , but with notable talent.
The designs feature some sights SC . Are there lights to focus the works .

• We used the Gothic period in the decoration of the middle area of the environment .

Upon entering the bathroom, the audience will see a black door and behind it there will be a totally dark room , antagonistic to the rest of the environment .

A velvet curtain will come from the ceiling to the floor behind the toilet bowl and who are curious about moving the curtain , you realize that there is a picture behind it .

• Finally , have a romantic space in the third cabin.

The period charm appears everywhere .

The wallpaper looks handpainted flowers , the Capitoné the back wall shows the comfort and elegance , the crockery in pastels , all referring to the period .

Male bathroom

• For the area of the men's room sink we chose to use in decorating the Bauhaus period. Straight lines , materials like burnt cement , glass and steel will be used referring to said period. The bench is made with burnt cement , and cement vats will be shaped in himself.

We chose to do a detail in a small bathroom wall with brushed steel, and will use a transparent acrylic seat in front of this wall referring to the glass , widely used at the time. On another wall , we will use framed pictures of Charlie Chaplin character related to the industrial revolution , since our environment is this industrial vision .

• When using the public space of the urinals , the period will be seen the deconstruction - tivismo . We designed an entire wall in self relief, partitions between spaces urinal shall be made so that the public has the illusion that they are broken , however, it will run very safely and responsibly.

We chose to use images of optical illusion artist Maurits Cornelis Escher , known for his woodcuts , lithographs and halftones ( mezzotints ) , which tend to represent impossible constructions , proper completion of the plan , explorations of infinity and the metamorphoses - interlocking geometric patterns which gradually turns to a completely different shapes.

• In the closed area , where there is a toilet bowl , we developed a design which will be used in the medieval period decor. The stone clad walls give a special touch to the environment .

On the back wall , we use a vertical strip made of wood from demolition and will use torches to fortify the idea of the medieval period .
