Public restroom

The project focuses on subtlety and respect for the historic fabric of Szczecin. Located in the neglected "front garden" of the City Hall—previously degraded into a parking lot—the design aims to restore the area's original character. The new structure is divided into two low-profile volumes (max. 2.30 m high) that align perfectly with the ground-floor window sills of the historic City Hall, ensuring the heritage facade remains unobstructed. The split between the volumes extends the axis of the existing plane tree avenue, naturally guiding the observer’s gaze toward the main administrative building.

The design creates a dialogue between history and modernity.
