In designing this space, I focused on highlighting high-quality, designer furniture as the main visual and functional elements. To ensure these pieces stand out, I kept the design economical and restrained, avoiding unnecessary additions to walls or ceilings. This approach allows the furniture and architectural features—like openings, partitions, and counters—to define the character of the space, while maintaining flexibility and a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

The following two options explore different ways to connect the kitchen and living room while preserving their distinct flooring and maximizing the impact of the key design pieces.
