housing - small-apt
The owner is looking for a pleasant space to host the different daily activities.
I propose two solutions. In both of them I try to give continuity between the kitchen and the living with the choice of a long furniture, which provides storage and produces a pleasant visual continuity that enlarges the space.
Many brands offer this type of furniture, and I suggest one of the many available.
In the first solution the kitchen features a peninsular extension, so to have a large working surface and a dinette table for two. The dining table is a console table, parked against the wall, that can be opened when necessary.
In the second solution there is a corner open kitchen, leaving the space for a fixed extendable table.
A sofa-bed corner, an armchair, and a wheeled coffee table complete the space in both solutions.
Concerning the lighting, I propose to leave the existing spotlights and add a floor lamp and a table lamp to allow illuminating the environment with softer light.
To address the issue of privacy without losing the natural light, I suggest to use vinilo stickers placed on the lower half of the large window to protect from the outside view.
