The main goal and attention, of this design, was not
to make hotel-like open public space, but intimate,
warm family-like wine cellar, with look and feeling of home.
The current kitchen is kept, as it is said before, and the
colors and style of the kitchen was the main constraint
for all other visual elements and furniture part.
The main exception of your brief, was using dark brick,
instead of stone. Why?
Simple, your space is not so huge and wide, and when inserting
the wine shelves in it, it will be even smaller.
Therefore, using big stone blocks, will be inappropriate
and will not adecvate final look. So, smaller dark brick are used.
Window openings, should be incorporated into the front of wine shelves.
And last, but not least, you have a music corner on the right wall.
