Based on the given brief, here are a few interpretations on the Social Room extension by adjoining the interior with the existing terrace.

The approach would be to make use of the two existing columns located on the exterior (facing the terrace) as part of the structure for the new extension. Folding glass doors will be incorporated in between the structures to create flexibility between the interior and the exterior space, so that it blurs the boundary between the inner social area and the outdoor.

Another extension would be where the outdoor A/C units are currently located. The solid wall facing it will be demolished to make space for another proposed extension space. It will be positioned next to the initial extension so that it create continuity to the adjacent columns and the terrace area.
