Dear Client,
Thank you for the opportunity to work on your project. It has been a pleasure developing Two design proposals that I hope not only meets your expectations but also aligns closely with the vision you have for your Roof Garden and Veranda.
For the First proposal, the rooftop is envisioned as a layered garden retreat, creating a tranquil escape above the city. The design at its heart revolves around an elevated Jacuzzi/tub deck, enveloped by lush greenery and complemented by a terraced garden that gently steps down toward a glazed skylight below. The skylight itself is embraced by planting, creating a seamless connection and blurring the boundary between built form and landscape. A generous pergola/shed forms a unifying canopy that shelters both the seating areas and the staircase providing shade and warmth. Upon entering the rooftop via the staircase, an open kitchen with a high-chair bar unfolds as a social anchor, encouraging gathering and social interaction.
The walkway between the elevated deck and the mechanical room door is sheltered by a wooden shed that is fixed and articulated with metal details. This structure acts on serving not only as shelter, but as an informal seating or lounging element for the deck above. Throughout the rooftop, natural planters and climbing vegetation soften the architecture, allowing the terrace to evolve as a living landscape—reinforcing a cohesive, organic character throughout the rooftop terrace.
As for the second proposal, the rooftop design revolves around partially demolishing / lowering part of the roof parapet to integrate the pool. By doing so, a horizon compact infinity pool emerges—visually extending toward the skyline and becoming the focal element of the terrace. while partially submerged loungers blur the boundary between relaxation and water, The pool is seamlessly integrated with a high-chair bar allowing the encouraging social interactions. Positioned between greenery on one side and the covered staircase on the other, the pool forms an intimate yet open retreat, creating a balanced spatial enclosure on both sides. The staircase itself is sheltered by a linear shed that extends and stretches toward the adjacent elevated roof, partially covering the kitchen bar, which is located directly opposite to the staircase upon ascent.
At the heart of the rooftop, a generous pergola bridges the two elevated roof on the sides and the glazed skylight, establishing a central shaded zone. While the pergola incorporates integrated planters and climbers at its far edge, allowing to soften built forms and creates a living canopy, the glazed skylight, embraced by lush planting, introduces natural light into the spaces below while reinforcing the rooftop’s connection to nature. All-natural flora are selected to thrive in rooftop conditions, transforming the terrace into a sustainable, elevated oasis and enhancing the terrace’s environmental comfort and visual continuity.
I hope these designs and proposals resonates with your vision for your Roof Terrace and Veranda. I look forward to hearing your feedback and am excited about the possibility of bringing this concept to life. If you have any suggestions, modifications, or questions, please feel free to reach out at any time.
Best regards,
