Descrizione Progetto

The project is situated on an exceptional site where the surrounding natural environment guides both form and spatial organisation. The design extends the existing structure with minimal demolition, reshaping it into a more efficient square floor plate that enables a fully open southern elevation across all levels.

The ground floor accommodates three bedrooms with direct southern exposure, while the first floor is configured as a large, continuous living, dining, and kitchen domain oriented to the landscape. Above, a generous second-floor terrace is introduced, connecting to an interior library that frames long southern views.

On the eastern side, the pool zone is positioned for both privacy and optimal sunlight, supported by the architectural arrangement of the house. A direct connection to a ground-floor sauna further enhances the private wellness sequence. The garage sits on the level below, linked by stairs to the open ground-floor terrace. Vertical circulation on both sides of the house ensures intuitive movement between floors and reinforces spatial clarity.

Service functions—bathrooms, laundry, and ancillary areas—are consolidated toward the northern portion of the plan. Retaining the existing staircase location reduces construction complexity and cost while preserving efficient internal flow. The low demolition requirements and focused interior interventions contribute to a practical and achievable construction strategy.

The first floor features an expansive living and dining environment accompanied by a dedicated internal office. This workspace opens to an elevated grassed relaxation area, which in turn shelters the outdoor dining and kitchen space adjacent to the pool on the ground level.

Material selections emphasise natural finishes sourced as closely as possible to the character of the Italian hills, reinforcing a refined yet grounded architectural identity.
