Hi designers,
I need to renovate the living-dining area of my holiday house. Mainly, I’d like to reduce the existing kitchen area and to give the space a fresh and simple look.
I like design pieces of furniture; clean and simple lines but not too squared; minimal style maybe with some shabby or chic elements. I also like to insert some antiquities or ethnic elements, maybe some pieces of furniture that looks genuinely ruined by time. I already own some pieces of the kind that I’d want to keep together with many Persian and Tibetan carpets.
The main colour should be white with some Maltese red – the house is in Malta. There also is a typical Maltese closed balcony that I’d like to embellish and exploit as much as possible.
Like I was saying, I’d like to keep the existing kitchen but reduce it a little removing some elements and adding just a dishwasher. The only doubt that I have is whether to keep the kitchen in the existing position or to move it in the next room (between the bathroom and the bedroom).
I also intend to renew the wiring plant with exposed cables where possible.
I need the house to be engaging for tourists and as much typical (Maltese) as possible within a modern style.
Being a holiday house, my budget is not too high, I could spend as much as 10.000€ at maximum.

Vorrei rinfrescare la zona soggiorno pranzo, riducendo la cucina già esistente, un'immagine fresca e snella per una casa vacanze.
Amo i mobili di design, linee asciutte e pulite, non squadrate però, lo stile più vicino è per me minimal, magari un po' chic o shabby, amo moltissimo l'inserimento di qualche pezzo antico o etnico o un po' delabrè ma autenico. Possiedo alcuni di questi pezzi che inserirei volentieri. Ho anche parecchi tappeti persiani e tibetani, di varie misure, da inserire.
La immagino con molto bianco e qualche piccolo accenno di rosso maltese. Il balconcino è tipico maltese chiuso e vorrei valorizzarlo.
La cucina la terrei riducendola ed inserendo solo una lavastoviglie. Sono inoltre indecisa se mantenerla dov'è o spostarla nel locale adiacente, tra il bagno e la camera da letto.
Le modifiche all'impianto elettrico vorrei farle, dove possibile, con cavi a vista.
Mi piacerebbe uno stile accattivante per il turista, che quindi abbia lievi riferimenti al luogo (Malta).
Ovviamente, dal momento che è una casa vacanze, vorrei spendere il meno possibile, fino ad un massimo di €.10.000,00.
