Descrizione Progetto

The genesis of the project is the result of rethinking a office space to avoid functionality and a new image of the corporate headquarter.

Design Principles:

• Provide more opportunity for team work/collegiality
• Improve flexibility in space use
• Allocate office space in a rationalized, simplified and streamlined way
• Realize organizational values of openness
• Use daylight and views
• Reduce wasted double circulation

This plan vastly increases the amount of space devoted to informal interaction, placing open collaboration zones along the perimeter, in the aisles, and in proximity to workstation clusters. With two conference rooms in the heart (and no enclosed offices), natural light flows freely, creating a more inviting space.

The group space in the collaboration plan—40% of the total square footage—is divided between community space and group space. Community collaboration areas are available to all and located in the interior along major corridors, making planned interaction convenient and chance encounters likely. Group collaboration areas, meanwhile, are “owned” by specific work groups and located around the perimeter.

To divide the three areas (public, agents and services) glass walls were included to mantain permeable volumes. The project feature oak wood finishings, dark grey in the lobby and service areas, smooth concrete flooring, woven vinyl flooring, for an essential, contemporary image. The narrative is completed by the furnishings, true protagonists of the concept: custom fixtures in wood, grey finishings, coloured metal, black leather attuned to the white and black colors of seats.
