This was a very specific project regarding that the client knew pretty much what he wanted. The distribution of space remains more or less the same, with little differences in sizes of bathroom and the living room. The apartment is divided in two zones, the night one facing north and the day zone facing south. I thought it was more important to orient it properly, so I omitted the fact that now the night zone faces the street. The kitchen is integrated in the living zone, but at the same time separated by a countertop that serves as a dining table for two people. The entrance hall uses as storage room as well, taking advantage of its height. Floor coverings are unified all over the place except the bathroom. Entering the living zone there is a book shelf which marks this entrance. Ceilings are lowered in the entry hall, kitchen and bathroom and have recessed LED downlights.
