Via dei Gracchi 30, Milano
Residenziale - Appartamento
This project aims to create space and fluidity in the residential areas, distributing functions in an organized and natural manner to create a beautiful and functional home.
The layout optimizes spaces effectively, ensuring the separation of private and common areas, avoiding the demolition of many walls, and reconstructing only a few of them.
I have considered four solutions for this architectural design, each offering a suitable idea for any space, tailored to your preferences and needs. In three of these solutions, as requested, the kitchen remains in its original location, and the other spaces have been left unchanged, while improving access and optimizing the layout for better space utilization. In the fourth design, to create an open living space, the kitchen has been moved to the other side, visually linking it to the living area.
Two bathrooms and a laundry room have been designed in the sleeping area. However, in one of the designs, I placed the laundry room in the former bathroom space next to the kitchen to avoid further wall demolition. Based on your request, in the other designs, I moved it to the sleeping area. It is important to note that this space (the former bathroom next to the kitchen) cannot fully merge with the other areas, such as the kitchen, due to the presence of a large, indestructible column. Therefore, I have envisioned it as a cozy space for family tea or coffee time, with a display cabinet for kitchen items, or in the fourth design, as a quiet corner for reading, with a bench under the window and a display cabinet for storing decorative items and souvenirs. Both the cabinet and the bench under the window in all designs will feature appropriate lighting.
In the living room, I have placed a sofa and a dining table. Depending on whether you prefer the TV in the living room, I have used different layouts in each design. Additionally, in one of the designs, based on the photo you chose as the project cover, I have placed the dining area between the living room and the kitchen.
In the kitchen, I have placed a 4-person table, and the design of this area varies in each plan. In one design, instead of the table, I have included a counter for eating in the kitchen.
As requested, built-in wardrobes have been designed in the rooms, hallway, and entry area.
