Esterno - Giardino
In planning the spatial distribution of the zones and spaces for the “Location Eventi” project, I considered key factors such as the preservation of the natural environment, providing efficient access to the site, and proposing a lightweight construction system that allows for quick installation and dismantling, without requiring permits from local authorities. A major design goal was to maximize the views towards the sea, particularly in the southern direction.
The project includes two access points: one from the main road and another from the northern side. Along the site’s perimeter, a line of shrubs will be planted to block views from the road and an adjacent old building. The name of the venue will be placed above this green barrier.
Upon entering the site, visitors will walk along a stone pathway surrounded by existing trees. A pergola structure is located among the trees, with their branches growing through the pergola and extending naturally above it. Climbing plants and vines will also grow over the pergola, creating a living canopy that blends architecture and nature. Hanging lights will be suspended from both the trees and the pergola, generating a warm and atmospheric ambiance.
All built elements and activity zones are concentrated in the northern part of the site, which sits at the highest elevation. This strategic positioning provides the best views towards the sea to the south. Not a single tree was removed during the design process; on the contrary, the proposal integrates seamlessly with the existing vegetation.
An open area has been preserved to host informal gatherings such as picnics, yoga sessions, or other outdoor activities. Additionally, the small existing structure near the northern entrance—on the right-hand side—will be repurposed for storage of chairs and tables from Zone 6, allowing that space to remain flexible and adaptable without requiring new constructions.
