Descrizione Progetto

The design proposes a fusion between elements of the Scandinavian design (predominance of white, Danish furniture such as HAY chairs, and Swedish design from IKEA) with a touch of Italian style.
An open space that includes the living room, the dining room and the kitchen is accessed through the entrance, that gives more privacy to the sofa-corner, and it is practical to hang jackets and leave shoes. The South facing windows create a sequence of shadows and lights that guide to the kitchen like a invisible corridor. The kitchen has direct access to the balcony and the garden, it's big and modern, with a spacious island that serves as a working space and as a high table for breakfast. The minimalism is softened with a shabby-chich blackboard-wall and a vertical herbs wall.
The dining room connects the kitchen to the sofa-area, lowering gradually the high of the furniture as we go from the two extremes of the open space (kitchen -living room).
A big corner-sofa is surrounded by three walls, which give a sense of privacy and protection: it's a cozy corner to sit with friends or just relax. A tailor-made wooden frame structure (or covered with plasterboard) goes around the sofa, providing usable surfaces for books and accessories. LED could be used to create softer lights for the evening, being combined to this element.
A corridor guides to the three bedrooms - one master bedroom with a C-shaped walking closet, and two single rooms- and to the two bathrooms (facing West). The main bathroom has a big shower and a bath, while the small one has a wc and a small sink, cabinets for storage and space for washing and drying machine.
The goal was to create a relaxing and “Hygge” (comfy in Danish) home, functional and glamorous at the same time: the apartment of an indipendent woman and also a perfect family-home for the future.
