Dear Client, hope all is well. Attached, please find a proposed design for the apartment renovation as per the references uploaded. The main idea behind the work is how to utilize living and dining area, within the geometry already existing. As most of the walls in area 1 and 2 are including 135 degrees angles, unless we combine these two areas in a full open space, the space will become too confined and bulky for your family and visitors to occupy and use to the fullest of potential. As a designer with more than 3000 reference apartments in the US and Europe, these floorplans suggested me to advise you against placing a wall barrier between the kitchen and the living room. It will allow you less of the footprint to work around. The suggest floorplan is an open and airy furniture layout, with a non-conventional sectional, normally designed in two pieces which you can modify and separate, which does become the barrier between room 1 and 2 naturally, without being tall and an obstacle. As you can see, where today is the hallway, I placed a round community bench called table, which could be used for coworking, studying with children, or as a dinning room setup, which is a very attractive way to include a function to this seemingly empty space. The rest of the design orientation is standard and up to the maximum capacity for your family. Looking forward t hearing your feedback.
