Hi dear client,
i choose for your your project a simple design , i tried to maintain your original idea of the u shaped corridor for the kids bedrooms. that are almost of the same size.
I moved the kitchen at the place of the second bathroom so you can use also the back door to enter the house and i put the second bathroom with a new laundry where the kitchen was .
The kitchen has a big island that faces the living room, and a modern and linear design.
The living room is more regular because i decide to add the area of the external porch as part of it , this spaces is screened by a steel and glass structure that let you enjoy entirely the lake view; is openable so in summer you can continue use it as a porch, this frame could be also made of wood painted black that is supported by the original structure of the house and of the roof.
The basement maintain mostly the original plan instead of the new master bedroom and bathroom, i created a suite with a walk in closet, two rooms that you can decide to use as storage or guests room, a guest batroom with a small laundry extra.
The main differences are in furnitures and materials.
For the external facade i propose a blu color paint ,whit white paint of the roof and additional elements, the bue fits perfectly with the natural colors and remember the water of the lake .
