PROJECT CONCEPT – Home 3.0 | Living & Kitchen Design

The project has been developed to create a warm, modern, and functional living environment, where neutral tones form a calm base enriched by carefully selected touches of color and personality.
The design focuses on optimizing space, enhancing flow, and creating a cohesive visual language between the living room and kitchen.

Under-Stairs Area – Three Design Options

The space under the stairs is treated as a key opportunity to maximize functionality. Three possible configurations are proposed:

1. Full Storage Solution (Recommended)
A clean, minimal design with closed cabinetry to create a highly functional storage area, ideal as a wardrobe or general storage → This is the most efficient and visually tidy option.

2. Library & Reading Nook
An open solution with shelving and a small seating area, creating a cozy and creative corner within the living space.

3. Compact Home Office
A functional workstation integrated under the stairs, perfect for smart working or study needs.
A custom combination of these options can also be considered depending on the client’s priorities.

For the staircase, a minimal glass railing is suggested to enhance lightness and maintain a contemporary aesthetic, complementing the existing grey stone steps.

Living Area

The living room is designed as a welcoming and flexible space, ideal for both everyday relaxation and entertaining guests.
• The sofa is oriented towards the large window, maximizing natural light and creating a comfortable and open atmosphere.
• A large dining table is positioned closer to the kitchen for practicality when serving meals. An oval shape is recommended to improve circulation and soften the geometry of the space, although a rectangular option also fits well.
• The bioethanol fireplace is integrated into the TV wall unit, becoming a central feature that can be enjoyed both from the sofa and the dining area, adding warmth and a strong visual identity.
To maintain flexibility between spaces, a custom wall with integrated niches is introduced. This element allows for the installation of sliding glass doors, which can:
• fully separate the kitchen when needed
• or remain open to preserve an open-plan layout
This solution combines functionality, lightness, and architectural elegance.

Kitchen Design

The kitchen is designed around an efficient work triangle, ensuring comfort and practicality in daily use.
A peninsula or central working area acts as both an operational hub and a subtle divider between kitchen and dining space.
A full-height cabinet wall provides generous storage while maintaining a clean, architectural look.
A small everyday dining table for four is integrated into the kitchen area, complementing the larger table in the living room.

Solution A – U-Shaped Kitchen
• Compact and highly functional layout
• All main appliances (fridge, oven, hob, sink) are within close reach
• A round table is placed in front of the full-height cabinets to improve flow
• Cooking and washing areas are more discreet from the living space

Solution B – Kitchen with Peninsula
• The peninsula becomes a central feature and divider
• Appliances are integrated into the main working wall
• The dining table can be positioned adjacent to the peninsula
• Ideal for a more social and open interaction

Solution C – Open and Spacious Layout
• Tall units (fridge and oven) are moved to the full-height cabinet wall
• Maximizes countertop workspace and visual openness
• Creates a lighter and more impactful kitchen environment

Material & Color Concept

The overall palette is based on neutral and warm tones—beige, soft taupe, and natural wood—enhanced by touches of bordeaux to add a distinctive and elegant character, ensuring a timeless and relaxing atmosphere.
To introduce personality and continuity between spaces:
• Accents of color (such as deep bordeaux tones or textured wall finishes) can be integrated into both the living room and kitchen
• This creates a visual connection between the two areas while adding depth and character
