Garden Milano

Dear Client Hope Like Design !
This project redefines the traditional backyard by blending the meditative precision of a Japanese Zen garden with the functional needs of a modern family. Designed as a seamless extension of the home’s interior, the "Garden Milano" serves as both a visual masterpiece and a tactile play space.
The Living Centerpiece: A custom-built koi pond featuring a natural stone waterfall and vibrant water lilies. The pond acts as a focal point, providing soothing auditory masking and a splash of organic color against the neutral landscape.

Artistic Groundcover: Raked ornamental fine gravel creates fluid, wave-like patterns that mimic water, accented by slate stepping stones that provide a clear architectural path through the space.
Balanced Flora: A curated selection of textures and colors, including:
Verticality: Japanese Zelkova and Firethorn for structured height.
Contrast: Deep crimson Japanese Barberry paired with the silvery-blue tones of Dusty Miller and succulents.
Softness: Ornamental grasses (Festuca) and weeping shrubs that soften the stone edges.

Integrated Play: A discreetly placed wooden sandbox allows children to engage with the garden's tactile nature without disrupting the overall aesthetic harmony.
The goal was to create a "breathing space"—a low-maintenance, high-impact environment that offers tranquility at a glance. By utilizing a Xeriscape-inspired approach with drought-tolerant succulents and gravel, the garden remains pristine year-round with minimal water consumption.
This garden is more than a landscape; it is a living canvas designed for reflection, play, and architectural elegance.
