Zen Garden Redesign Concept
The garden has been reimagined in the spirit of a Zen Garden, featuring interwoven circular formations that create a harmonious sense of balance and tranquility. Flowing, curved pathways connect all areas seamlessly, following the Japanese philosophy of visual continuity and natural movement.

Upper Right Corner: A cozy outdoor lounge has been designed with a central fire pit. Positioned to face the waterfall, this seating area offers a serene view while discreetly screening the solar panels behind it.

Upper Left Corner: The waterfall cascades into a small pond planted with Water Lily and Iris pseudacorus, surrounded by natural stones and Acorus gramineus to enhance the aquatic character.

Garden Center (Right Side): A small fountain serves as a secondary focal point, guiding visitor circulation and adding a gentle soundscape.

Lower Right Corner: A safe sand play area for children has been integrated, complemented by a small seating spot for rest and supervision.

Planting Strategy
The planting palette was carefully curated to achieve visual balance and seasonal interest:

A Japanese Maple stands between the waterfall and fountain as the main focal tree.

Boxwood and Hakonechloa frame the lounge area, adding soft layers of greenery.

Thyme serpyllum lines the pathways, softening edges and releasing a subtle fragrance.

Azalea and Nandina domestica are scattered across the lawn, introducing seasonal color.

Ophiopogon japonicus surrounds larger stones, reinforcing the naturalistic character.

Materiality & Atmosphere
The design integrates a rich variety of materials—dark stone, sand, patio tiles, and water features—to craft a balanced environment that reflects the calm, contemplative essence of Japanese gardens.
