Here’s our project proposal for your Tiny house in Oakland.

By following every guidelines you provided during the contest we achieved a great architectonical results that are we really proud of.
Both the exterior and the interiors of the house combined with smart distribution choices , such as optimization of the spaces and an overall sense of openness, will make your residential investment highly repaid by the final value of the building or renting.

As requested, we are proposing a minimal interior design wooden style without forgetting functional aspects. The total storage capacity of the unit (without including the kitchen cabinetry) is over 55 cubic feet; an amount that will make the tiny house extremely comfortable and easy to live in.

In addition to storing needs we optimized spaces with smart choices such as the use of the under-stair zone for seatings (in addition to storing) perfectly in line with the overall interior design style.

The large double height area is characterize by wide and continuous openings facing North/West - North/East; a choice that will provide the right amount of light without stressing the house under thermal factors.

Thanks to its linearity, the kitchen area remains extremely flexible and open to refinements, it will be very easy resetting up it’s features as requested in case is needed. One aspect we like about this predisposition is the fact that the “mess” after cooking will stay hided during dinners or relax time in the living room.

In the project we included the terrace, on the other side of the entry stairs, that will be characterized by a patio with a wooden pergola. The pergola will also provide a roof cover for the entry as requested. An additional pergola as been projected for the private house terrace on Phill’s side. That terrace can be an extension of the dinning table providing additional space to the house regular activities.

The loft has great a size for a bed and a big cabinet. In addition we added as requested a small working space similar to the examples provided. The working area space matches the double story vertical window facing South-East, which means natural illumination during all morning long. Something we love about the loft the gorgeous view the tenants can enjoy from the bed thanks to the wide openings on the north side of the house.

Thanks to simplicity of the shapes, our furniture choices can be fully custom or adaptation of existing product.
