The main objective for the design of this house is to have a small house that looks bigger that it actually is, but featuring plenty of storage. Most furniture is designed specifically for this house, so that it can be made locally.
In the main area there is a lounge, a kitchen and a WC. A large storage wall accommodates a pig part of the kitchen, a closet and storage for the WC. The WC is a cabinet made of granulated glass, so that it doesn't obstruct the space. The open plan kitchen is "U" shaped with lots of storage and full-size appliances. The highlight of the living area is a metal staircase. The first few steps of the staircase are retractable in a separate piece of furniture. A big dining table can host from 3 to 6 persons.
In the loft area the built-in bed accommodates storage for pillows and linen. A desk overlooks the space. A separate space in the loft, divided with a glass wall, features a walk-in wardrobe and a large shower.
The overall design aims to radiate the sense of tranquillity and relaxation, while enjoying life in a small home without compromises.
