Residenziale - Appartamento
This project focuses on redesigning and optimizing a two-floor residential space to create a more functional, spacious, and modern living environment.
On the ground floor, the design begins with an organized entrance area featuring dedicated shoe storage to maintain a clean and welcoming entry experience. The unused space beneath the staircase is enclosed and transformed into a practical storage area, maximizing every available square meter within the house.
The main intervention on this floor was removing an existing wall to create a large open-plan living space that combines the kitchen, dining, and living areas into one connected environment. The new layout enhances natural flow, improves visual openness, and creates a more social atmosphere for everyday living. Different furniture distribution options were explored to achieve the best balance between comfort and functionality. The kitchen is positioned at the end of the space, while two alternative living room solutions were proposed — one featuring a TV focal point and another designed without a TV for a more flexible and conversational setting. The dining area is carefully integrated between the spaces to maintain harmony and easy circulation.
For the second floor, two layout options were developed according to the client’s needs. The first option includes two bedrooms with one enlarged bathroom. To achieve a more comfortable bathroom layout, the balcony door position was adjusted and shifted slightly to improve the use of space. The second option explores the possibility of creating one larger master bedroom instead of two separate rooms, offering greater flexibility depending on the client’s lifestyle and priorities.
