Descrizione Progetto

Since the existing entrances were predetermined, the design focused on achieving an optimal spatial organization without relocating them, in order to respond appropriately to the existing conditions.

Accordingly, an entrance vestibule was designed for the main unit to prevent direct visual and physical connection between the entrance and the interior, thereby preserving spatial hierarchy and the residents’ privacy.

Considering the high spatial quality and favorable position of the balconies, both balconies were allocated to the larger unit to allow the residents to benefit more effectively from natural light, open views, and outdoor space.

Based on the client’s request, the kitchen was located at the end of the plan to maximize the benefit from the large window overlooking the sea, enhancing the spatial quality and experiential value of this area.

Semi-private spaces, such as the study room and home office, were positioned near the entrance to allow visitor access without interfering with the private areas of the home.

The bedrooms were organized in the far end of the plan, adjacent to the kitchen, to ensure greater privacy and comfort while improving internal circulation and creating a clear separation between public and private zones.

By introducing the study room, the overall geometry of the plan was guided toward a more compact and near-square configuration, which improved spatial coherence, connectivity, and overall legibility of the layout.

Additionally, in response to the client’s request for a wine storage area, a 10 cm thick partition wall was designed. This element not only accommodates the required function but also serves as a spatial buffer that enhances privacy, strengthens spatial separation, and prevents direct views from the living area toward the bathroom.
Considering the spatial constraints and the need to maintain optimal circulation within the plan, the study room was designed with dimensions of 3.42 × 2.60 meters. This size allows for the placement of a standard work desk (for example, 140 × 60 cm), a chair, a bookshelf, and sufficient circulation space, ensuring that the room fulfills its intended function while preserving privacy and comfort for the users.

Overall, the project was designed with a focus on optimizing circulation, establishing a clear spatial hierarchy, preserving privacy, responding to the client’s functional needs, and enhancing the overall spatial quality.
