Our Project take advantage of the existing space and the possibility of increasing the area of the house. We propose to change the main entrance, the driveway and passageway are together, now the entry to the house is through the porch (which could be partially covered with wood beams, if it’s allowed by the norm). In the porch there’s space for some chairs and a BBQ.
When you come in you see the social zone totally integrated, but visually separated with a simple idea: The height in the kitchen is different, so it’s not neccessary to create a wall between dining and kitchen to separate them. There’s a fireplace which functions for the living and the dining room. From the kitchen, hobby room and bedroom 2 you have the possibility to go out to the porch.
We think it’s not necessary having a lot of walls inside (the space looks bigger and has more natural light), that’s why we propose a sliding door to the hobby room, so you could use it close or open. This room could be used also as a guest room or study/office. The laundry room is an independent zone, it has much space so you could also use as a storage room.
Now there’re two big bathrooms, in both you could use shower or bath tub. One of the bathrooms has two entries because that’s the social bathroom (from the bedroom and from the hall). Each bedroom has a closet and a space for a TV wall furniture. The underfloor heating could be used in the whole house.
We propose you to use light colors in walls and ceiling, that matches perfectly with the color of the wood floor. But please use some bright (or contrast) colors in few walls, like the one in the kitchen. The idea is that the colors be neutral and you add some bright colors in cushions, flowers, vases, paintings, photos, etc. We propose our ideas and furniture scheme, but please remember is just our proposal. If you prefer other colors/textures/furniture, no problem. The idea is that your space reflect your personality!!
