Proposal 1
In this solution, the concept was developed around the workspace, which was required to be a separate area with natural light. Based on this requirement, the smaller bathroom was moved closer to the entrance, which led to the master bedroom being relocated to the former children’s bedroom.
This arrangement results in two bedrooms positioned next to each other, as in the original layout of the apartment.
To ensure natural light, a small workspace with a wardrobe was created in place of the smaller bathroom. Due to the reduced bathroom sizes, the washing machine was placed in the hallway, while the remaining space was added to the workspace and used for additional storage.
Following the reference images, a kitchen island was placed in the kitchen. To make the space more open and fluid, the dining table was integrated into the island. The living room remains in the same position as in the original layout, with minor changes.
Near the entrance, a wardrobe for coats and shoes, as well as a small bench, was also planned.
Proposal 2
Proposal 2 has been developed based on Proposal 1.
All other spatial and design parameters remain unchanged, except for modifications to the layout of the children’s room and the kitchen.
Proposal 3
In Proposal 3, the bathrooms remain in their existing locations, so the workspace is integrated within the open-plan area, close to natural light. In this proposed layout, the kitchen has been moved, creating an entrance hallway with a wardrobe for coats and a shoe cabinet.
This space also includes the dining area, while the living room is separated by sliding doors with glass panels, so that these areas appear as one, yet each retains its privacy. In this way, the feeling of openness and spaciousness is preserved.
The bedrooms have retained the same positions as in the existing layout.
