housing - small-apt
TaAG Arquitectura Arq. Gerardo Ayala García de Quevedo
Our project starts from the premise of optimizing existing terrain and context. On the one hand arise three platforms that absorb the topography and give privacy to housing. Additionally existing trees are fully respected, giving shelter and warmth to the development. We have a home that takes refuge from the outside through the lush vegetation.
A double outline in "L" is used which closes to the street and opens onto the indoor gardens generated by the bays of the buildings at a lower level of Via Italia street. The building is located at the center of the estate giving privacy and distance from the street and the neighbors, through all windows it is possible to see the green of the gardens and vegetation.
The house is raised on three levels with a double access: The basement is accessed directly by the Via dei Mille, the access to garages is fully resolved using topographic levels, two of them are covered within the housing and an additional exterior parking for visitors.
The basement floor contains besides the garage the secondary access to the house, engine room, laundry, sports area with gym on one side and the Jacuzzi and sauna in the other. Both spaces are fully glazed with independent terraces taking advantage of the main garden.
The ground floor, with the main entrance of the house on Via Italia street, contains the day program of the residence: study, guest bathroom, kitchen with breakfast area, dining room and terrace.
The upper floor includes the private program of the residence, the master bedroom with its closet and bathroom, the bedroom of daughter with the same characteristics, visits bedroom with private bath and an additional space that can works as a study or additional bedroom. The three main bedrooms have independent balconies that leak into the interior gardens and Via dei Mille.
The exterior image of the house is solved by clear and strong volumes, with white and wooden walls and apparent stone that give warmth to the whole. It is planned to respect the existing balustrade wall as a way of integrating context, having a linear garden on Via Italia that works as a filter between the exterior and private interior.
The roof of the upper level contemplate having inclined apparent wood structure in order to properly evacuate the rain water and the warmth of wood for the interior design of the house roofs.
