Descripción

The proposal provides for a simple, clear and functional organization of spaces, with the location of the services (bathroom and kitchen) as well as the living area on the lower floor and the location of the bedroom (with a large closet and a small studio area facing the double height of the living room) on the mezzanine.
The mezzanine is made with the balloon framing technique (that uses a minimal structural material to build large area, too, with minimal cost), which in this case includes small wooden pillars with twin beams. This wooden structure characterizes the entire studio environment for a height of about 240 cm. This is a sort of wooden boiserie that makes the home environment cozy and equips the walls, too. The thickness of this boiserie varies from 20 to 60 cm, allowing to stay a deeper cabinet (such as the kitchen cabinets or appliances - refrigerator, washing machine and oven- or the living room cabinet that becomes a stairs) as well as thinner libraries and shelves (one of which, by design, can turn into dining table if necessary).
Balloon framing structure and wooden furnishings described above "rest" on a stone skirting, in continuity with the floor. The floor of the studio, as well as the step and some wall panels near the wide bow window, are designed in light stone (marble). In this way, the environment becomes brighter. Alternatively, at customer's discretion, flooring can be designed, if not in contrast, in continuity with wooden boiserie. Would be suggested an industrial parquet, oak essence, which is pleasant and durable as stone paving.
However, in any case, a wooden flooring is created for the mezzanine, made from the double table, overlapping the balloon framing structure.
