Thank you for the opportunity to redesign your apartments. After studying your needs and your existing apartment, I came up with several alternative designs. I proposed two alternative designs for the first floor. Two alternative designs have the same layout for the kitchen, dining, and living room. The kitchen is designed to be bigger than the existing one, with a stove island in the middle. I created the entrance to be separated from the living room to prevent air conditioning leakage. The laundry space is located right before the main bathroom. In the alternative 1 design, I designed a bathroom with only one big shower room with a cair. I also designed a bedroom (6) bigger than the alternative 2 design. Finally, I proposed study room (7) in an alternative 1 design.
The difference between alternative 1 and 2 designs are the TV position in the living room, bedroom (6), closet room (10), and main bathroom (7). In the alternative 2 design, bedroom (6) is smaller than in the alternative 1 design. In addition, main bathroom in the alternative 2 design has both shower room and bath up.
I proposed five alternative designs for ground floor, which basically have an open layout for the living room, dining room, and kitchen. In alternative design 1, 2 , and 3, the demolition plan is similar. The layout of bathroom, bedroom and laundry room is same. The difference is only in living, kitchen, and dining orientation. I proposed sliding doors for bedroom in all alternative design to make the room lighter.
The difference between alternative one and two design is the placement of kitchen and living room. In the alternative two design, I placed living room right after come in from entrance. There is wood partition to separate living room and kitchen.
The alternative two and three design is similar. The difference is that I place kitchen and dining right after come in from the entrance.
The alternative four design has difference layout design with other alternative designs. I placed bedroom in left side of the entrance door. I also changed the access of the laundry room.
In the alternative 5 design, I did not make significant change from the existing. The bathroom is still under the stairs but I changed the door to give more safety for not get slippery iin the stairs. I created walked in closet (3) which can be accessed from living room and bedroom. The laundry in this alternative 5 design is placed in the kitchen.
