The project we developed for this competition is based on the full rationalization of the space and the elements, to create a beautiful, modern and minimalist house.

Starting from the ground floor the use of continuity spreads all across the volumes; the staircase identifies itself as the pivotal element and the surrounding space is planned as open space. The design is modern and light, the steps are independent one to another and the handlers are completely clear, made of glass.

To one side we find the kitchen, (inspired by Forma Mentis by Valcunie) developed with a custom continuous wall that hosts the columns (with all the electronic elements included, such as the oven, the microwave, and the refrigerator) with a hollow space that contains the induction cooking plate. Secondly, we find an island that is suited to be equipped with drawers and a sink. The second part could be used as an informal table, for a quick lunch or breakfasts.

To the other side of the staircase, a beautiful living hosts a wide sofa and the main dinner table, all framed with an outstanding bookshelf, inspired by the Sistema Selecta by Lema. The space of the ground floor is designed with a strong bond to the backyard. Firstly we see the patio space, developed with couches and a coffee table, and then an amazing modern garden opens itself to the dwellers, plants, flowing water, black pebbles with a stone pathway and a raised space create the perfect harmony to relax and spend time outside.

The lower floor includes the ideal furniture to host a versatile cinema room, that could be turned to a party room with ease. The upper corner is dedicated to a little studio space, with a desk and a shelf nearby.

Onto the upper floor, we find the three bedrooms. Introducing first the master bedroom furnished with a king size bed, and elements that create a comfortable and warm feeling. Connected we find the main bathroom, that even in its small spaces, hosts everything needful. The shower is illuminated from the above with led strips, the sink is hosted in a piece of furniture inspired by Boffi Simple.
Lastly, we see two single bedrooms. The one facing toward the backyard is the daughters' room, furnished with a wide bed, a closet (that could be ampliated if needed) and the glass desk. For the latter, we have the son's room, equipped with a very interesting solution for the bunk bed; it's a single bed that hosts at the lower level a desk, and shelving spaces.

The whole project was developed keeping in mind the target: being capable to conciliate the user experience and the modern and minimalistic design, providing a remarkable example of what a modern family should need.
