Description

The project fully incorporates the request for a fully glazed building brief, organizing the rooms so that the entire internal perimeter of the building is free from internal partitions. This entails the choice of locating the service areas in the central part of the plan, thus constituting the main structural support of the statics of the building. This block / band services is interrupted in correspondence of the living and dining room. The living room is characterized by a large 360 ° rotating platform that allows the sofas placed on it to rotate to fully enjoy all the perceptible views from the glass envelope and to direct the views towards the wall equipped with the television or the opposite wall of separation with the dining area that can be implemented with a bi-facial stove / fireplace.

The bathrooms and the laundry being located away from the perimeter walls, are illuminated and naturally aired through as many dedicated patios that also guarantee optimal privacy compared to the other rooms of the house and the views from the garden. Moreover these open spaces located at the center of the building improve the passive circulation of air inside the building and therefore the passive cross ventilation of all the rooms. The central supporting block is implemented on the perimeter of the glass envelope by a regular series of pillars / uprights of the façade that connect the support of the slab of the floors between two solid opposing supports. On the fronts most exposed to solar irradiation, suitable horizontal sunbreaker systems with adjustable slats are provided, mounted cantilevered with respect to the external edge of the glass envelope to keep the perception of continuity of the transparent vertical closures unchanged on all the elevations, done this, sharpened, by the circular connection between the orthogonal facades.

Access to the dwelling is through a glazed gallery, which functions as an entrance gate and dressing area, leading the user from the parking area to the living areas of the house.

The room dedicated to studies / guest rooms has been removed from the floor of the house and de-located in the middle of the garden as a single, independent, equipped with a special small toilet and accessible via a new pedestrian path that connects the area ' entry to the lot from the public road with the various buildings, including the existing barn. The decision to de-locate the studio / guest room, allows greater privacy and independence between the functions of living and those of studying / hosting.
