Description

The proposal has been made keeping the client’s brief in mind. All the spaces have been arranged to maximize thermal comfort in terms of the light and ventilation. Private zone- the bedrooms have been kept along the South-West corner of the apartment while public areas like the living / guest toilet have been kept closer to the entry.

The furniture adheres to a medium budget and is intentionally chosen to be modern / contemporary and minimal. The 3,5 meter height of the apartment should be used to provide full height cupboards and storage units as shown in the design. This eliminates the need for attic spaces / lofts for storage.

You enter the house from the side into a mud room- a place for taking off and storing your shoes, coats etc. A slatted wooden bench has been provided here. This space leads to a slatted wall with the living area on the other side. The kitchen / dining / living area are open in plan to maximize the sense of space. This would be a wonderful family area. The kitchen counter has been turned to form an island with stools for times when there are less people and the dining table is not used. There is a toilet from this space- this would serve as a powder room for guests and the bathing area for the 2 additional bedrooms. The two smaller bedrooms are about 10 Sq M each. The master bedroom has been designed with an en-suite toilet and a walk in closet.
