Description

Let There Be light_ Minimal and full of light. (La Costa in Bra Project)

The main idea behind this preposition is light! 'Let there be light" is the project's title.
My intentions was to create a luminous and attractive environment that will strike out form the rest of the neighbouring stores.
The choice of white textured walls (here with plaster molded bars) and white marble for a floor adds light to the space.
The marble was chosen from the existing staircase, which gets replaced by a new metallic with marle steps and minimal railing.

For the ceiling I reduced the height difference between beams by mounting a light panel ceiling, as the main lighting source.
The white ceiling light of the panels gets filtered through a series of acrylic shaders.
The shaders are tinted in a pale greige-ocra color in order to shed a warm color inspired by the color swatches that the famous Italian director imagined for the area.
In conection to his image, the bar structure features iron casted frames inspired by the exterior railings and details of the terazza.
A wooden slab matches the natural beige swatches of the ceiling shaders and combined with iron structure and iron panels gives out a sturdy and light result.

For the furnishings, matte lacquered modular shelving system in different combinations gives an infinity of variations and placement choices.
The shelves bend to meet the staircase in a corner of low rise that fences the background interior rock garden.
The rock garden is a detail of freshness, providing that the staircase is see-through between the rises, it will strike to any costumer decides to enter from the main entrance and climb up the stairs.

The lighting fixtures are additional and chosen to match the general project, as a fine example of design that meets modern with traditional detailings.
