Description

Hello dear client,
In the current house you have no usable outdoor space because it occupies almost the entire plot (garden on the west side is way to narrow to be usable) and rebuilding the external perimeter of the house is mandatory for the reconstruction.
Therefore my project proposes the new house to be rebuilt in a way that the external membrane of the old house remains the same but "holes" (courtyards) are "pierced" in the external walls and roof. That way you get more usable outdoor space and respect the building's perimeter.
Entrance to the house is on the south side through the first ("public") courtyard. It connects garage and the living area. Living area which consists of open space kitchen, dining and living room is in the middle of the house. West of the living area is outdoor terrace which is also connected to the pool area. Pool is in the middle of the house and can be accessed from the living and the sleeping area. Finally on the north of the house is sleeping area which has its own terrace for relaxing, sunbathing, reading, etc.
Interior of the house is connected to the exterior not only visually but also physically with large sliding windows which can be opened as desired.
Courtyards provide much needed outdoor space and because of the holes in the roof more natural light comes in the house.
