Description

Position of the house is determined in accordance with the need to expose living areas to the southern sun. Therefore house is slightly rotated with most areas exposed to the South West and due to irregular shape of the object, it has been provided for living room to have natural sunlight during the entire day. House is also drawn to the back of the lot as much as possible to avoid exposure to the public area /street/.
In further shaping of the object, main intention was to double the height, wherever possible and carefully position openings in order to prevent energy loss. Solar panels are positioned on highest parts of the roof, with possibility to adjust inclination to meet sunrays in best possible angle. Battery storage is set in basement, and water in the pool can easily be heated this way.
Organization of the interior space is primarily set to create large, comfortable open areas, with minimum furniture, connected both visually and functionally. Entrance door provides direct view all through the hall towards the backyard, as overviewing the living room. Living area, dining room and kitchen and pool area, even separated by sliding partitions, visually represent one unique space open to the patio and green ambient of the backyard. Beside these spaces, guest room is also placed on this level, organized as small room with bathroom and wardrobe.
First floor contains three sleeping areas. Two bedrooms for child: smaller and bigger one /when child grows up/, with large terrace and wardrobe. Studio is positioned between these two rooms, integrated into bigger one, with possibility of connecting with smaller one, as well. Master bedroom is organized as one open space, with two separate wardrobes, big bathroom and private terrace. These spaces are designed to be as big as possible, open, with minimum furniture, lots of light, in modern manner.
Technical areas are placed in the basement.
Considering the fact that the lot is very large and that the house covers approximately less than 20% of the area, main intention is to plant as much greenery, nest the house in natural ambient and keep that kind of ambient by applying natural materials. For the outdoor spaces natural tree shadow should be enough, but, dining area can have its own pergola. This area is practically extension of the indoor living room and pool area, and represents great ambient for family moments and safe playground for child.
