KITCHEN AND LIVING

DUE TO THE CORRIDOR IN THE MIDDLE, THE KITCHEN HAD TO BE DIVIDED IN TWO ZONES, FIRST ONE FOR THE FOOD STORAGE AND WASHING, AND THE SECOND ONE FOR PREPARING. THERE IS AN OPTION TO PUT A HOOD EXTRACTOR ABOVE THE COOKTOP BUT THAT DEPENDS ON A CLIENT AND THE COOKING HABITS, THE PROXIMITY OF THE WINDOW TO THE COOKTOP IMPROVES THE VENTILATION.

IN ORDER TO SEPARATE TWO ZONES (KITCHEN AND LIVING) AND TO PROVIDE DINING TABLE, THE IDEA IS TO PUT A HIGH COUNTERTOP WHICH COMBINES THESE TWO FUNCTIONS. THE COUNTERTOP IS MADE OF WHITE PINE WOOD. THIS COUNTERTOP VISUALLY DIVIDES THE SPACE AS IT CLIMBS TO THE CEILING AND GIVES SUPPORT TO THREE PENDANT LIGHTS.

KITCHEN ELEMENTS ARE MADE OF WHITE LACQUERED MDF BOARDS. THE WORKING SURFACES ARE MADE OF BLACK GRANITE STONE, 4CM THICK. RIGHT BELOW UPPER ELEMENTS THERE IS A LED LIGHT STRIP THAT SERVES AS A WORKING LIGHT.

AS WE NEEDED TO PROVIDE ACCESS TO TWO ROOMS AND THE BALCONY, THERE IS A FREE PASS 90CM WIDE WITHOUT DOING ANY DAMAGE TO THE LIVING ZONE.

FLOOR TILES REMAIN THE SAME. WE PROPOSE NEW KITCHEN TILES (WHITE ONES, 10X10CM FOR BOTH KITCHEN PARTS.

THE REST OF THE WALLS IS PAINTED IN OFF WHITE DISPERSIVE PAINT EXCEPT FOR THE WALL THAT RISES FROM THE WORKING SURFACE. IT IS PAINTED IN BLACK TO PLAY WITH THE COUNTERTOP IDEA.
