The main intent of the design is to make a barrier-free design which incorporates all the requirements of the client. The public areas: living room, dining area, guest toilet etc. is kept near the entrance and the bedrooms are at the rear. The following points are considered in the proposal:
• The proposal is designed considering the existing furniture of the client
• No external opening has been altered
• One of the entrance doors is kept closed/hidden from the inside
• Some walls have been eliminated which were taking up the important space
• The living room has most of the existing furniture; tv unit & sofa.
• Living room also has a billiard table and a wall piano.
• A separate dining area for 6 people is designed
• The kitchen is near the living area with a kitchen island.
• The master bedroom has existing wardrobe of the client
• A large toilet with a Turkish bath & hamam is designed and kept near the bedrooms
• Several new internal partitions have been introduced to make the design feasible
• The toilet & kitchen have not been shifted to avoid any construction trouble.
