Description

In this project we aim to obtain a balance between the aesthetic preferences of the client and their actual needs. During the conceptual phase, when we have started to merge all the different requests into a fashionable but also functional kitchen, the L-shaped island layout has come to our minds as a natural solution. All the appliances are on one side of the kitchen, easy to reach. The lighting has been slightly modified and improved just like the false ceiling above the cabinets, which are an up-to-date version of the timeless shaker style. The island is ideally divided in two sections: the first is dedicated to the preparation and cooking of food while the other, framed by the windows, is the dining space. A color palette which includes white and different shades of gray, clean lines, steel, glass but also wood and parquet look ceramic tiles: the combination of all these elements creates a modern, sophisticated kitchen. To avoid having an aseptic and impersonal space, splashes of cerulean blue and tangerine red are present. These vibrant colors give the room character and cheerfulness, since the kitchen is, above everything else, not only the center of the house but also a dynamic place where all the members of the family gather to spend most of their time together.
