We are a couple in their fifties : richard and carmela . We have no children at home but we would love to host dinner often children and friends , and occasionally even to sleep .
Riccardo has many interests and passions , especially photography, technology and music , and all of its many equipment ( including an electric piano Yamaha P140 ) should find a neat place and dedicated .
Carmela , being housewife, has the need to have functional spaces , especially the kitchen , and would like a modern style house , welcoming and luminous ; she does not like to overload the environments with mobile and at the same time loves the order for which , where possible , should be privileged retractable furniture and should be exploited all the storage spaces .
We have purchased a group of adiacent attics to be converted to mansard (about 80-90 mq) + underlying two-room apartment that gives access to the attic.
Space and Light!!! We are looking for a solution that doesn’t make us feel living in a cramped space.
In short our needs:
Comfortable kitchen as a laboratory area and adjoining dining area .
Living not necessarily large
Bedroom with walk-in closet .
Comfortable bathroom .
Tiny office area to keep PC and documents.
Laundry / Ironing functional with wash. The latter could also be placed on the floor below .
The apartment below must provide access to the upper floor by stairs ( possibly as a Minilift option )
This two-room may also contain a small bathroom and a bedroom wardrobe / guests .
We do not know whether it is possible to live on one level ( the top one ) because our fear is that , given the sloping roof , the local spaces would be overwhelming for both its scale and volumes .
